A conversation with the ring leader behind the auction of Vietnamese women on eBay

On March 2, 2004, eBay Taiwan had an ad to auction three Vietnamese females, two appeared to be no older than early teens. The starting bid was 180,000 Taiwanese dollars, or US$5,400.

"220,000 Taiwan dollars, I will take care of everything." "mmm0052g", the ring leader behind the attempted auction of Vietnamese women on eBay said.

On March 8, 2004, the Vietnamese Human Rights Network launched the "Help Stop the Trading of Vietnamese Women and Children."  On March 14, 2004, over 100 international news networks had broadcasted the auction of Vietnamese women on eBay.  VHRN had traced to the ring leader of this human auction. His eBay code is mmm0052g, a Taiwanese of the surname Lew.  A VHRN supporter in Taiwan managed to trace Lew's mobile phone and pretended to be a "Mr Duong" wanting to buy a woman on auction. Mr Duong 's telephone conversation with Lew on March 14, 2004 at 1:30 pm Australian time was recorded and available in the website of VHRN http://www.lenduong.net/article.php3?id_article=7372.
